We are IRC Workers Unite – refugee and resettlement workers from across the nationwide offices of the International Rescue Committee in the United States. Collectively, we believe in democratizing our workplace to better serve our clients, our community, and one another. Having a seat at the table allows those of us doing direct service work to help shape the future of IRC so that it is a sustainable workplace where all are treated with the same dignity and respect we advocate for daily for our clients.

Organizing US IRC offices began with our colleagues in Dallas, Texas, who were the first office to unionize and win recognition through an NLRB election in the continental United States. Since then:

^

IRCWU Denver won voluntary recognition

^

IRCWU Abilene won voluntary recognition

^

IRCWU San Jose won voluntary recognition

^

IRCWU Oakland won voluntary recognition

^

IRCWU Atlanta won their NLRB election

IRCWU Turlock went public with their union
